See the Light is a psychological drama that explores artistic passion, emotional numbness, and the search for inspiration. The story follows Aria, a 17 year old photographer struggling with depression, which leaves her feeling disconnected from her art. She desperately wants to capture true emotion in her photographs, but her work feels empty, reflecting her own emotional state.

As Aria explores the city, searching for her muse, she is drawn to the distant sound of music and finds herself in a theater where there is a ballet performance happening. The raw emotion and movement captivate her, awaking something in her. For the first time in a long time, she feels something. The film’s visual style shifts as Aria’s perspective transforms. Dark, muted tones at the beginning reflect her detachment, with the slightly yellow lighting creating a dreamlike effect as Aria is deep in her thoughts. The lighting at the end shifts into a deep blue colour slowly brightening up, reflecting Arias depression slowly fading away as she finds her passion in the ballet— finally finding her “light”.The contrast between darkness and light serves as a metaphor for her inner journey, emphasizing the tension between creative frustration and artistic awakening with the light symbolising Aria’s muse and self discovery.
